Service Description
WHAT TO EXPECT Participants in Baseline Medical Preparedness will gain foundational knowledge in medical readiness and emergency response, focusing on recognizing and managing common medical issues when professional help is unavailable. The course covers essential topics such as basic patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, wound care, infection prevention, and stockpiling critical medical supplies. Through a combination of classroom discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and practical exercises, attendees will learn how to identify worsening medical conditions, manage dehydration and shock, and build a functional medical kit. This course is designed to provide an introductory, non-tactical approach to medical preparedness, giving participants a clear roadmap for further training and skill development. Expect to leave with the knowledge and confidence to handle medical situations in austere environments where professional medical assistance is delayed or unavailable. WHAT TO BRING • Notepad and Pen • Water Bottle • Comfortable Clothing – Dress in layers appropriate for the weather; portions of the course may involve hands-on activities. • Personal Medical Supplies (Optional) – If you have a personal first-aid kit, EDC medical items, or related gear you’d like to discuss, feel free to bring them. • Lunch – You will not have time to leave for food; please bring your own. COURSE GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS • Timeliness – Please arrive on time. Class will start exactly at the scheduled time. • Open-Minded Approach – This is a non-political, non-tactical course designed for civilian medical preparedness. While we discuss real-world medical challenges, we ask that participants remain respectful and open-minded. • Ethical Use of Information – If at any point it appears you intend to use the knowledge gained here for nefarious purposes, we reserve the right to remove you from the course without warning or refund. CLASS LENGTH Approximately 8 hours (including breaks).
